Export Excel if(!window.sfdcPage){ window.sfdcPage = new ApexPage(); } Issue with MAC in apex visualforce

Hi guys ,
I faced a big issue with MAC if I am exporting .xls file through visualforce page.
The problem arise only in case if we are using PageBlock and PageBlock Table . I just replaced pageBlockTable with simple datatable and problem resolved.

    For some reason, I still get the "if(!window.sfdcPage){ window.sfdcPage = new ApexPage();" stuff preceding the data. I've got a very simple VF page:

    But when this xls is downloaded to a Mac, the first cell contains all the code before the data that should be exported. Is it obvious what I should be doing differently?

      I had tried on Mac the same code as of you but am getting the proper rows !

      hmm... any debugging advice? I just tried it on another mac with the same results. On my windows machine, it all works properly. Could it be an issue with the excel version?

      I am confused why is it happening ? I am using 2010 , can try by passing a custom list in data table and try once again !

      I'm a serious noob to VF, fyi. I'm looking at MS Excel 2011 on either OS X Lion or Snow Leopard. My VF page is incredibly simple right?
